Ascension IL Foundation

Ascension Illinois (formally AMITA Health) is a faith-based healthcare system in the greater Chicago area. The Foundation's programs focus on meeting people where they are in their lives and in their community. By taking care of their minds, bodies, and spirits. By helping everyone access the exceptional, compassionate healthcare we all need and deserve. By giving special attention, outreach, and support to those living on the margins and with the greatest needs.

As the largest behavioral medicine provider in Illinois, Ascension IL and the Foundation are committed to meeting every need of everyone they serve; giving people in psychiatric crisis care in the right time and place; educating and intervening early with youth and young adults; and leaving no one behind in addressing the ever-increasing needs of mental health treatment and support.

Since 2016, Kenny's Kids has invested over $1M in Ascension Illinois' behavioral health programs focused on youth and young adults. Funding has directly supported community mental health centers, a residential addiction and/or anxiety treatment center, expansion of outpatient and "day treatment" facilities, and the establishment of a new in-patient eating disorder unit.

Swimmers for Life

Swimmers for Life was established in 2014 by then-high school varsity swimmers who were alarmed when they learned that drowning is the second leading cause of accidental childhood deaths and that formal swim lessons could reduce drowning by 88%.

Swimmers for Life raises money to fund swim lessons for children in the community that otherwise wouldn't learn to swim due to financial constraints. They partner with local organizations, such as YMCAs, to provide the actual lessons they are funding.

Kenny's Kids has supported Swimmers for Life since its inception and continues this partnership to this day.

The Taylor Family Foundation

The Taylor Family Foundation, based in Livermore, CA, has been serving children for the past 30 years. TTFF's Camp Arroyo program is a unique camp experience where kids with special needs can just be kids. Whether it's children with life-threatening and chronic illnesses or development disabilities, Camp Arroyo provide kids a safe and nurturing environment. A place where kids are surrounded by children with similar conditions, and individuality is not taboo, but celebrated.

In addition to on-line and virtual programs, TTFF brings music therapy to several Bay Area hospitals via their mobile music therapy program, Sophie's Place. By partnering with local hospitals, TTFF's Urgent Needs Fund provides financial assistance to families for items such as food, gas, funeral services, prescriptions, and treatments that insurance won’t cover.

Kenny's Kids has provided over $1.1M of funding to TTFF over the past 15 years, with the majority of the funding focused on two key programs. Kenny's Kids directly funds the Camp Arroyo program so kids can experience overnight camp for free, with all the activities, specialty staff, services, and care required. By funding the Urgent Needs Fund, Kenny's Kids eases some of the financial burden families face so parents can concentrate on their children.
